TRASHY LINKS
"Trashy Links" is a collaborated project of Zeynep Zontur, Beril Kekeç and Koh Jia Long, made for "Proj3V.3 (Visualize, Voice and Vision)" project. Proj3V.3 is an online collaboration project between Sabancı University and LASALLE’s Institute of Contemporary Arts Singapore under the supervision of Prof Dr. Yoong Was Alex Wong, Salleh Japar, and Erzan Adam.
We Conducted a one-month junk food review and documentary project on student eating habits of junk food. "Trashy Links," involved photographing and reviewing these junk foods, providing an observation of junk food consumption with a subjective point of view, both from Turkey and Singapore. We used cheap paper for print, and cut and ruffled some of them before we display them to emphasize the cheapness and "rubbishness" of the products we eat. Real packaging, hand written reviews and pieces of products we consumed were also displayed. We used ropes while linking the reviews and documented photographs to create a more chaotic look.
The project was showcased both in Turkey Sabancı FASS Art Gallery and Singapore, LASELLE.
